Our clients were in the process of modernising their family home and found us on Facebook. Their original kitchen was very traditional with a farmhouse feel including barn doors and a beautiful old brick fireplace. It was important to them to keep many of of these features when extending the back of the house where the kitchen is now situated. After visiting our Hertfordshire Kitchen Showroom and meeting with our kitchen designer they were able to discuss different options available to them and came up with a design that combines traditional and contemporary beautifully. The chosen door is a modern Strada handleless door in a combination of matt porcelain and deep heather. We love how the kitchen island adds a pop of colour, the quartz overhang allows for seating perfect for informal dining.
The hidden Breakfast cupboard is another of our favourite features, our clients wanted an area to store their coffee machine and accessories. Incorporating a breakfast cupboard is an ideal way of freeing up more worktop space and looks striking once you open the slide and hide doors. The internal natural kendal oak adds warmth and looks fabulous against the LED strip lighting, it is a real talking point amongst family and friends.
The Calacatta Gold worktops fitted by Blue Pearl Granite look striking against the porcelain matt doors, we love how the worktop features as a splashback behind the instant boiling Quooker tap – another bonus when entertaining friends no need to wait for a cuppa as its right there at your fingertips.
Neff are the chosen appliances including a Neff built under wine cabinet which features interior lighting, 2 temperature zones and can store up to 44 bottles ideal for storing the champers and bottles of red and white. The Neff slide and hide oven is also a feature in many of our clients kitchens and in this kitchen is perfect and allows for more room as the kitchen island is situated just behind.
