1909 In-Frame Kitchen fitted in Harpenden, Hertfordshire

About This Project

This beautiful 1909 half pencil and scalloped kitchen is home to a family whose brief was to have a kitchen that was perfect for entertaining family and friends. We wanted to create an area that meant the whole family could enjoy and congregate in.

The kitchen island is a real focal point and statement piece and looks spectacular with the bespoke seating area. It was designed by one of our kitchen designers at Kitchen Ergonomics and the family have had it upholstered professionally. It is a great place to relax and enjoy whether it be eating at or working from, it is a real show stopper and literally is the heart of the home.

Our clients kitchen is set in a large recently extended space, this has given room for a bespoke pantry that is great for storing dried goods and appliances that may clutter the work surface.

The half pencil and scalloped is the most detailed of the three door styles available in 1909. The wall units in this case study are in a lighter colour and the kitchen island adds contrast in a darker colour. The white Cimstone quartz worktop looks superb against both the colours and injects a crisp, elegant feel to the work surfaces.
